Shared Calendar across Forests
My Environment: 2 Separate Forests with bi-directional transitivetrusts, both have Exchange 2007 CCR setups.95% of end-users currently use Outlook 2003. Is it possible to access a shared calendar from one forest to the other? If not... I've been looking into Quest Collaboration Service in order to have an automated solution for synchronizing the GAL & FB Data. Would this make shared calendar access possible? Any feedback is greatly appreciated, Matt

While it is possible to connect to a calendar in another forest by using a dedicated Outlook profile, it is not possible to add a calendar in the Outlook folder list in an existing profile, this because you can only add mailboxes in the forest your Outlook profile is pointing to. The users are queried from AD (Global Address List) and Synced users from other forests are shown as contacts and have not property stating any servernames or databases. Also with Quest this is not possible. This is not a limitation of Exchange, but of Outlook. Try looking at Sharepoint for this. You can share a mailbox (http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/10/26/429362.aspx) or any other folder of your mailbox using Webparts on Sharepoint. Cheers, Mark
