Shared Calendar
Hi thereWe are looking for a shared calendar solution and wonder if anyone has any ideas please. Mr.Important works for company A and has now become a shared head of service with company B, different domain organisations/forest. Mr.Important's calender for both companies needs to be in sync and viewable by his assistants and managers at both sites.Any ideas would be much appreciated as the only solutions we have found so far do not give us what we need. Thanks

Hello, To sync two different calendars you need to use some third party utility since it is not possible natively in Exchange. You can look at this 3rd party utility if it supports cross-forest calendar sync. http://www.diditbetter.com/

Issue description: Sync calendar cross forest Although you can synchronize free/busy information across forests and use it to schedule meetings, you cannot use the Open Other User's Folder feature in Microsoft Office Outlook to view the calendar details for a user in another forest ----------------------------------------------Synchronizing Multiple Exchange 2003 Forests Share the free/busy data can be done by MIIS or InterOrg Replication utility Workaround: If you are using outlook 2007, the calendar can be published to internet, and then share to person in another company, but with read-only permission. Thanks JamesDo you know of a method where can see actually see the calendar items. I think it would only be possible with a single active directory structure - would that be right?

Per my knowledge, thats correct. However, there may have 3rd party tools that can do the sync on the web you can also try, just like the one suggested by Amit
