Setup exhange to allow emails using VB6
Hello, using a VB progam and Microsoft CDO for Exchange , we are trying to email invoices (PDF) . During my test, everything works well when I use an email within my domain. The email and attachments are received without problem. However, If I try to send the email with the attachment to a "abc@yahoo.com" email for example, the exchange server seems to block the email being sent. Do you know what must be modified on the server to allow emails with attachment to be sent to "outside" emails ? thank you

Sure those messages arent simply being dropped because relay isnt allowed? How exactly are you sending these to Exchange server?

Hi, Are you using Exchange 2003? Do you have SMTP connector in the route group? If yes, please try the following steps: 1. Open EMS, right click the STMP connector that is responsible for sending Internet Emails. 2. In Address Space, click add to "Allow Message to be relayed to these domains". 3. Expand to Server->Protocol->SMTP, right click Default SMTP Virtual server and choose propertes. 4. In Access tab, click Relay, add your application server to the list. If you are using exchange 2007, please refer the following article: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/12/28/432013.aspx
