I get the above error while installation reaches Pre- requisite stage. I have followed the link to the suggested  solution but that has no useful information. Any assistance is appreciated.

I have SQL server running on the server but not sure if Exchange has its own SQLServer that is causing this problem

I have found the solution and here it is for everyone who might encounter this problem.

1. Go to administrative tools and select SERVICES

2. Find all SQL Server related services that are running and stop them

3. Proceed with the installation.

Hi ,

Exchange server and SQL are different production. Exchange have own database.

Did you install Exchange on SQL server?

If this is product server, we didnt suggest you install Exchange on SQL server.
