Setup Outlook Anywhere using the settings from OWA
Exchange server 2007 lets me use active sync on my mobile device fine. My client will not connect to Exchange server, although my account will connect to exchange server on other clients. Anyways, I can use OWA anywhere/any cleint. Is there a way to setup Outlook Anywhere using the settings found in OWA options>about page? The server should allow Outlook Anywhere since it allows ActiveSync for moblile devices?

Hi,You cannot manage Outlook Anywhere through OWA 2007 . You can confirm it by segmentation which is a feature of OWA. Yes, and all is enabled for OWA to make it the most productive possible...but can i tell the user to use the settings on the options>about page of the OWA account to find the settings to manually configure the client to connect to Exchange via Outlook Anywhere? or will i have to provide all informatin as it is not provided in OWA (i.e. http settings, microsoft exchange server, url to connect ot proxy server, ssl, etc....)?

Hi,I'm afraid you cannot change the "about" settings in OWA.This information can be used by support personnel to help you troubleshoot issues in OWA. So it is just for troubleshooting OWA.But I think this is a good idea. Maybe Microsoft Prduction Group will take your advice in new version.By the way, outlook 2007 will automatically gather settings of Outlook Anywhere when it first connects to exchange server. So you needn't configure it by yourself. Frank Wang
