Setting up the email system
Hi, I am looking for some help setting up my email system. Perhaps someone can help with some of the basics. I am not familiar with Exchange servers and I have only setup an internal exchange server on SBS 2003. I have a domain with 2 servers, both 2003 R2. The server running Exchange 2007 is a 64bit system. I have installed Exchange Server 2007, but I want to configure it. My internal domain x.com does not need a separate internal email system, as its a small domain with one site and about 80 users. So I want to configure Exchange server to use my x.co.uk domain. This is presently registered to me and I know that I will have to ask the hosts to point x.co.uk to my servers IP address and configure the Internet router to forward port 25 to the Exchange servers IP. But how do I tell the exchange server to use the x.co.uk domain and configure it to accept email that has been redirected by my present hosting provider to my Exchange server. As you guessed I dont do this a lot.
