Setting a Page Layout of A3 in Office 2010
I have recently bought office 2010 , and now i want to changce my page to A3. However there is not already a default available when i click on
Page Layout > Size. However office 2007 had an A3 deafult already..
Can i still change my page size to A3? And If i can How?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
If you want to define your own page size, you need to find Page Setup. On the Page Layout Tab, Page Setup is the second group, in the bottom right corner you'll find the Page Setup dialog button. Click to display the Dialog box then click
the Paper tab. Open the Paper Size list and scroll to the bottom to find Custom Size. Then set the Height 42cm Width 29.7cm.
Hope this

Did this work?
The A3 option is probably missing because your default printer doesn't support that paper size. If it does then it might be a good idea to update your printer driver.

I do not have A3 printer at home but do at work and need to produce A3 document for there. (Silly of Word to restrict page sizes available depending on printers installed!)
I did what you said and added custom dimensions via page size, but having done so & clicked OK, the dialog box disappears and I return to the blank document... Click the Size button again to see what it's on now, and it seems to have now put the page
on 'Letter' size, and my custom A3 dimensions are not listed.

i got it solved.
1. click on file.
2. click on printer.
3. select from the drop-down menu of printer list and select Microsoft XPS Document Writer.
4. after selection, click on printer properties, click on advance and then select your A3 format.
5. click on ok, got to page layout tab and select your paper size.
thats all. hope it works.

Brilliant thanks! Just had this same problem and was getting very frustrated as it would allow me to do A3 previously. I thought I was going mad! It was because my home printer isn't A3 so I changed the printer and bingo!
Many many thanks!!

The key is to have a default printer defined in Windows. The Microsoft XPS Document Printer does the job, as does many of those freeware PDF converters that install as printer icons in Windows.
