Setting Mailbox Defaults for Free/Busy and BookingWindowInDays
Users have requested setting the Free/Busy info for all our resources to 12-months and also the BookingWindowInDays setting to 1080 days. Is there a way to set the default setting so when the resource is created that it sets it at that time via adsiedit or some other utility? Thanks

I doubt you'll be able to change default value for BookingWindowInDays. But as you might already know, you can run the PowerShell script to do all Code Block Get-Mailbox | ForEach-Object { $_ | Set-Mailbox -BookingWindowInDays 1080 }As for the Free/Busy information, the period is being controlled on the client side (Outlook) so you'll have to convience all the outlooks inside your organization to publish free/busy information for longer period, by using either of GPO, scripts, user instructio or visiting each seat ... http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2004/06/10/152698.aspx

That's what I did, I just wanted to know if there was a setting to make new resources default to the new setting. Also, I saw from the web that Exchange 2003 had a registry key (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Excdo\Parameters\FBPublishMonth) that you could change on the server to the period in months you wanted. Do you know if that is still viable for Exchange 2007? Thanks, John
