Setting Exchange mailbox to leave copy of mail on the hosts server
Hi there, I would like to set an email account that is set up in exchange to leave a copy of the mails for 10 days on the hosts mail server also. I can do this with emails that are set up in my outlook running locally but I cant find a way of doing this within MS exchange server 2003 email addresses. Does anybody know a way of doing this please? Cheers, Din

Are you referring to the pop3 connector? Or are you just talking about defining properties within the user account that specify the 10 day rule? A client program is necessary to keep track of these 10 days. The exchange server wouldnt have any way of knowing when to start the 10 days. Outlook can keep track of when they were downloaded. If you want to get really complex, Exchange 2007 can use managed folder retention, but i dont think thats what you're looking for either.
