Set Editing Language in Outlook 2013 is disabled

Hi Everyone,

We are in the progress of rolling out MS Office 2013. The option to have the default editing language changed is disabled (greyed out). It seems to be disabled by policy (GPO).

I found some such setting here but none show me the one I am looking for.

Can you point me in the direction of where to find the registry key that disables this?

Best regards,

Hi,

Seems you've enforced language settings by policy. The specific language-related policy setting that manages this is under:

Computer Configuration>Administrative Templates>Microsoft Office 2013>Language Preferences>Editing Language

Please have a check.

Hi Ethan,

Thank you for the information. I do not have the access to check, but this seems to be the correct one.
Is there a way to actually see which registry key is the one where it is set or only under Computer Configuration?

Best regards,

Szabolsc

Hi Szabolsc,

Each policy setting has a corresponding registry entry. The affected registry entry here is:

HKCU\software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\common\languageresources!installlanguage
