Set Column width and captions in Analytical Grid
I created the following analytical grid using PPS (sp2). I set the dimensions of the webpart in the dashboard to auto (both width and height). As you can see even when the entire browser is blanks, PPS has crammed the columns and is not displaying the captions of each column fully. I want to resize the columns so that the caption is fully visible. Also PPS is generating funny name for my hierarchy which is present on rows. I want to assign a proper name to the hierarchy.

Hi,
i am student too. Maybe I can give you a little idea.

In the default setupfolder of PPS :C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server\3.0\Monitoring\PPSMonitoring_1\Preview\res

find the css file:OlapGrid.css

search the section :
/* ---- Column Headers ----*/
.ch {
background-color: #ebf3ff;
width:100px; /*alter the values you wanted*/
border: solid 1px #d0d8e5;
font-weight: normal;
text-align: left;
padding: 4px 5px 4px 5px;
white-space: nowrap;
/*color: #000000 !Important;
font-family: Tahoma !Important;
font-size: 11px !Important;*/
}

set the propertity:width , this control the grid columns width.

Hope this help you ,and wish we can keep communicate each other about pps .

Hi ,

There is an option called "View option " inside the dashboard designer when you are creating reports. Please click on that and make sure that shorten column labels and shorten row labels are unchecked.

You can change this behaviour, by unticking the trim option in the display options (last icon on the right)of the modify menuindashboard designer.
