Server restarted automatically
hi, w2k3 server restarted automatically and I cheked in event logs it shows EventID :11, source : disk, Description : The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 and Event ID :24606 , source : Cissesrv Description : Logical drive 1 configured on array controller P400 located in server slot 1 returned a fatal error during a read/write requestfrom/to the volume. Logical block address 770c3d0,block count 8 and command 20were taken from the failed I/O request. Array controller P400 located in server slot 1 is also reporting that the last physical drive to report a fatal condition (associated with this logical request) is located on bus 0 and ID 7.

Hi, Seems you are having issues with the raid controller. Did you check with the HP tool to see the status of the array? Other than that this really isn't an Exchange question, but have a look at the array with the HP tools to see if all checks out fine. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

You should definitely take a look at the Array Configuration Utility from HP (ACU). This will tell you in what state your array is. If it is degraded due to a drive failure (and most probably, based on the errors you've copy/pasted, it will), you'll need to replace the failed disk(s) with new ones. The array will automatically start rebuilding than. Michael

What model of the HP is it?
