Server exchange
Hello and
congratulations
for
the great
professionalism
and availability
that you offer,
I wanted to ask
having to
install
and configure
a mail server
for
a company
also having
the
static IP, I
was wondering
if
it is better to
take sbs2011
which has
already
included
inside exchange
2010
with a minimum
configuration
and
its connector, or
use
win server
2008
R2 with
Exchange
2010 and
create
everything
from scratch?.
P.s.
The hardware
does not
think
it is a problem given
that I have
an HP Proliant
D360
g7 with
25GB
of ram
and
2 hd 500gb sas
in
raid mirroring.
I thank all
those
who want to
give me
advice.

1. Depends on your requirements, what suits your business.
2. Compare SBS 2011 with Exch 2010/W2K8R2 and look at what both offer. If you're only interested in exch, then I would deploy exch on server 2008r2.
3. There quite a few differences betrween both choices, in terms of users CAL, features, products included, licensing cost etc..

Thank
you for your
response, I
gave
a look at the
links provided,
and
I understand
the various
differences
between versions,
but
my problem
is
more technical,
or
you being
the guru
and
I'm not
much on the
topic
introduced
exchange,
but
with is the need to
make
this personal mail
server
for a company,
you
wonder if
you could
kindly
give me
some
good guidance
as both
the network
library
that I could not
find
anything
that allows me
to start, and
then
having to
publish
dns ,
A,
MX,
TXT,
PTR
and other,
better off using
sbs2011
which has
already
included
a connector
and
a minimum
configuration
of
exchange,
or
having to make
a
personal mail
server do not
need
a percutaneous
connector, and
a
smart host
should
set things
with win
2008
R2 and Exchange
Server 2010,
and save
on the cost
of
sbs2011?.
Safe
in one of your
kind
reply, thank you
for
the interest, I
apologize
for
the language
and
the banality
of the application.
