Server Rejecting External Email addresses after successfull CSVDE ipmort
Has anyone seen this? All information looks correct in objects, however mail kicks back with 550 5.1.1 resolver.adr.exrecipnotfound. I would expect to see this if there was no external contact. However that is not the case. Any thoughts? BILL

We have just run into the same problem potentially. Did you find a fix or the cause of this?

Can you post the full error received by the sender? We have seen this problem when there is a bad local cache or bad addresses in the personal contactsin Outlook on the clients PC.

Do you have an Edge Transport server role? If so, is it synchronizing correctly? You can run Test-EdgeSynchronization from the powershell. Also, once edge synchronization takes place, I have had to occasionally restart the Microsoft Exchange Transport service on the Edge Transport server to get the server to recognize the new addresses.

So, you do not have an edge transport server?

Have you created an external contact through the powershell or the console? If so, do those work?

One other thing, is the Exchange installation a clean install or did you upgrade. I ask because we did a clean install and then brought the mailboxes and contacts over. The problem we had was that some of our external contacts, and some of the addresses cached on local machines still referenced the old address. Are you sure that this is the correct reference? IMCEAEX-_0=SRV-MAIL-ORG_OU=FIRST-20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=c+5lopez@dominio.com.mx My clean install looks similar to this example. IMCEAEX-_0=ORGNAME_OU=EXCHANGE-20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF32SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=c+5lopez@dominio.com.mx _O= specifies the organization name you chose during the setup, and _OU= should be your administrative group name and is usually followed by a string of characters in parenthesis such as the gray part of the second example. If you are not sure these are correct, you can use ADSI edit to look them up. If the organization and administrative group in the error message and the ones stored in active directory do not match, then this is why you are receiving the error. Even if the smtp address is listed correctly because exchange does not use that address for internal routing.

Hi hazar1 1. I dont have a Edge Transport server.ihave only a server withmailbox server, client accessand hub transport server roles. And the fortimail for relay. 2. But,i exported"domain" usersfrom my last domain (w2000)with CSVDE and then later imported this users in my newserver domain. The mailboxes are new too. 4.
