Server Reboot : Command or Script
Hi Team I have a series of exchange server (3 Numbers) and Dc's . All are running in Virtual Environment.Every day i have to shoutdown all the servers. Am finding very difficuly while shutdown the server where i have to logon each and every server and then got to - start - Shutdown and all.. Im Searching a script or Command to to shutdown the servers in a proper sequence ..like...1. DC 2. CAS server, 3. HT server 4. Mailbox Server. if i run the script or command from any of the server , It should shutdown all the servers in above sequence. Please help !!!!

Hi, You can use the shutdown program included in windows server to perform the desired actions. Create a batch file and schedule this file to shutdown the servers in the desired way. Leif

The command for shutdown is shutdown.exe. you can use the batch or a script to run via scheduler, http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/remote-shutdown-command/ I think put some delay of few seconds and the DC should be shutn last. 1) mailbox, hub/cas,dc should be the preferred order.

I did the shutdown.exe remotely....am getting...Access Denied Error Message. Am using Administrator Credential for whole enterpises. Please help
