Server Error in '/' Application.
I m installed windows SBS 2008.after updating SP2 for exchange 2007,Owa is not working properly.when we browse SBS web application website in IIS following error is coming "Server Error in '/' Application. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Unistall CAS role, remove IIS, reinstall IIS and reinstall CAS role. Hope fully this will take care of your problem.Raj

Hi, I have sharepoint,wsus along with exchange in IIS of SBS 2008,uninstalling of IIS will not affect these services? Regards Asha

Yes , its going to impact all the application which is using IIS. You need downtime on that.Raj

Hi. Thank for your response.Resinstalling IIS will restore all those sites like SBS client deployment application,sbs shraepoint,sbs web application etc.. or we should manually again create it. Regards Asha

No . Installation of client server will only put the exch virt directory back in place. I will suggest to back up all the directores (other then exchange) and restore them once, IIS and exchange is back.Raj

Hi, i didn't uninstalled IIS as it was not possible in my case.i uninstalled exchange server from windows sbs server 2008.And I reinstalled exchange server 2007 with SP2 directly.I m able to open OWA login screen,but not able to login.when I tried to login i will get following message. "Your session has timed out. To protect your account from unauthorized access, Outlook Web Access automatically closes its connection to your mailbox after a period of inactivity. Please re-enter your user name and password." Please help me to resolve this issue. Regards Asha

Try this. Open IIS and go to application pools.Go to advanced settings on the msExchangeOWAappPool. Set Maximum Worker Processes to 1Raj

Hi Asha D, Please check the event log , you also could check the IIS log to check the information when you use https://.../owa to connect the exchange server, and post some more information related with your issue. I have run into an issue looks as same yours, check the IIS default site "asp.net impersonation", if is enabled, please disable it, and test it again. Regards! gavin

Hi, I have uninstalled exchange server 2007 from sbs 2008 and uninstalled IIS 7.0 also.I reinstalled IIS and Reinstalled exchange server 2007 sp2 directly. I m able to open OWA login screen,but not able to login.when I tried to login i will get following message. "Your session has timed out. Then i disabled asp.net impersonation,owa started working,i m able to send and recieve mails. After that i started the other sites like sbs share point,symantech web services etc. then have done iisreset. After when try to open owa it shows internet explorer cannot display the webpage kindly give the suggestion to resolve this issue. Regards Asha

Hi Asha, try to browse the OWA url from the local server. Try https://internalIPaddress/owa . Check if you can browse this.Raj

Hi, I got another problem now,As i reinstalled exchange it is asking to activate now,but we didn't get separate product key for exchange as we installed SBS 2008.When we contacted microsoft they asking to send agreement deatils where exchange 2007 will be mentioned. kindly Help me to resolve this issue. Yes, only MS can help now. SBS licencing is diff. from exch 2007 licencing.Raj
