Server 2008 Windows Server virtualization and Exchange 2007 SP1
Ok, I realize that neither one of these products is officially released yet, and is subject to change. I also realize that the "Windows Server virtualization" inside of RC0 is only a CTP, and isnt even complete itself. ------------------------- Having said that, I am trying to determine if it will soon be possible to virtualize exchange in the above configuration. "Server 2k8 Windows Server virtualization" will support x64 Guest OSes, including Server 2k8. Currently http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232170.aspxsays: "Exchange2007is not supported in production in a virtual environment" and then they give reference to how Microsoft also does not support non-MS virtual server products. Is the reason they do not support Exchange 2k7 in virtual production simply because they haven't yet released their own compatible virtualization software? Please let me know what you've heard on this matter. (yes I know about testing and such, but I want to know about production support)

I think you hit the spot My feeling is the same, after windows server virtualization will be released Exchange 2007 will probably be supported only on Windows server virtualization I have not heard any official comments from Microsoft, maybe I will ask the Exchange team at Teched europe in a few weeks.
