Server 2003 Problem Removing Domain Controller
Good Day All,We are trying to remove the server from the domain. Due to our structure we must use this server in a Workgroup and not a Domain. After setup, where we were forced into a Domain, we ran DCPROMO to remove server from Domain. All seemed to go well. Once we ran dcpromo, we were allowed to join our existing workgroup. Later on our server started shutting down. The error message in the event viewer said SBCORE - This server must be a domain controller and does not comply w/EULA and thus will shut down. We are perplexxed. We are not part of a domain after de-promoting the last domain controller, yet we are getting shut down. Can anyone give us a bit of direction? We are desperate as the server shuts down every couple hours.Any help is much appreciated!Thx,Acktom

Acktom, You are using small business server 2003. You are not allowed to have member servers with SB 2003. I suppose SB 2003 does come with exchange though this is the wrong area for this post.
