Sending to multiple distribution groups
Hi, Trying to get a bit of an explanation of whats occurring in my following situation: A number of users are trying to sends emails as a different email address, lets say Test1@test.com for example. Test1 is a user account that forwards to a distribution group with 3 people in it. There are also 2 other distribution groups: Test2 and Test3. If User1 who is apart of all 3 groups sends an email from Test1@test.com to all three accounts Test1@test.com, Test2@test.com and Test3@test.com), the email will only be received once under the test1@test.com mailbox. If an email is sent to any of these groups individually however, it will be received from each address successfully. Is this how Exchange is meant to work? Ideally I would like the user to receive the email from all 3 groups hence having 3 duplicate emails received in their inbox. Thanks in advance, Steve.

Hi, The Exchange server performs duplicate message detection to avoid sending the user duplicate messages. Here is an explanation for Exchange 2007: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd577073(v=EXCHG.80).aspx Leif
