Sending of Email fail : Client was not authenticated
Hi there, I have setup Exchange 2010 and is doing a test email to send to server.mydomain.com using the default Administrator account, eg: administrator@server.mydomain.com. However, I got the error saying Client was not authenticated as below. Could anyone advise? :) SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<xxx@xxx.com > SIZE=12160: host server.mydomain.com [xxx.xxx.xx.xx]: 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated Jackson Yap APC Hosting http://www.apc.sg/

Is it an internal mail? Normally I have seen this issue when mails are being sent directly to the Hub transport server, and in that setup you need to allow anonymous access on the receive connector. /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

Thanks Martin! I ran these and it works: First get the receive connector name: Get-ReceiveConnector Then use the following command: Set-ReceiveConnector -Identity “MAILSERVER\Default mailserver” -PermissionGroups “AnonymousUsers” However although I can receive email to Exchange mailbox, I can't send out, even though I setup a Send connector. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot why mail is not sending out?Jackson Yap APC Hosting http://www.apc.sg/
