Sending message from drafts folder in Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007
Hello all, my Exchange account is set up via Outlook 2007 (Exchange) and MacMail (IMAP). When I compose a new message MacMail and save in my Drafts folder, it shows up in my Outlook Drafts folder. Then when I open that message in Outlook, and edit, then try to send I get the following error message: Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists: Jane Doe You are not allowed to send this message because you are trying to send on behalf of another sender without permission to do so. Please verify that you are sending on behalf of the correct sender, or ask your system administrator to help you get the required permission. But obviously I'm not trying to send on behalf of myself (or anyone else), both email clients are configured for the same Exchange account. Is there a way of avoiding this? Thanks very much.

Hi Anna,Check in your outlook and Mac Client if the "FROM" option is visible. If yes, try to disable it. Also if you dont save it on the Mac client and directly send it from outlook, is that allowing you to send the email.Raj

Hello Raj, I've got two email addresses for my Exchange account, and only one of them is used (set as default) as From address in my Outlook & MacMail (same email address). And yes, I have no problems sending in either Outlook or Mail. It's only when I save in Drafts from MacMail and then open that message in Outlook. Thank you..

Looks like some issue with Mac profile. Can you reconfigure the profile of the mac client. Also look at this http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=479226Raj

I've reconfigured my account on MacMail. That didn't solve it... So I tried setting up a new account on MacMail, that didn't help either. Given that I don't actually have any problems sending mail from MacMail and Outlook (separately and independently), and this only happens when I save a message composed in MacMail and re-open & send that in Outlook, I'm beginning to think that this has something to do with the way Exchange server resolves my name (account) in Outlook. I've noticed that when I send emails through Outlook it doesn't resolve my "From" address as normal (e.g. jane.doe@dns) form, instead it does "jane/doe/..." form... So as the "From" addresses don't match, Exchange probably thinks that I'm sending on behalf of someone. Interesting... Thanks for the advise, though!
