Sending Messages as Someone Else
Hello, We are currently running Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003. Currently we haveSOME users that are able to send messages as someone else using the Send From option in Outlook. We want to secure this feature down so no one can send messages as someone else. However when Icompare the security on a user account that can send messages and one that gets an access denied error message when they send as someone elsethe 2 accounts appear to have the same security settings. Help and suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Hi, Send as permissions are reqired in order to send as someone else. You need to check groups and users with these permissions and make sure that the permissions are not applied where they shouldn't be. Leif

You need to look at the permissions on the mailbox that they can send on behalf of. Not the sender's permissions.
