I would like to pick your brain on an issue we have have on a legacy terminal server farm the last couple of weeks.
None of the Office 2007 applications is able to send mail directly any more. Word, Excel, Powerpoint end up with "Microsoft XXX has encountered an error and needs to close...."
We have rolled back the TS image from when this was ok so no local changes are causing this.
One strange thing has been discovered. It only happens if the Outlook profile uses a mailbox in Exchange Online. Using an Outlook profile connecting by POP, IMAP or our local Exchange 2013 server does work ok.
I guess a recent change in Exchange Online is causing this.
Are there any setting i can change in Exchange online mailboxes to avoid this from happening ?
How can i debug this further ?
