Send on behalf user to shared calendar account / Organizer changes.
We are having an issue with a secretary trying to book a resource for a VP. This issue seems to have started when we upgraded to Outlook 2007, not sure. Using Office 2007: The secretary has send on behalf rights to the VP's exchange account and editor permissions to the VP calendar. When the SEC sends an calendar invite while connected / using to the VP's calendar, the SEC books a meeting room and adds all users and the meeting room calendar as the resource. All users will see that the meeting has been sent to them with the VP as the organizer. Everyone accepts, But when you go to the resource calendar, the SEC is identifed as the organizer.. Using Office 2003: Using the exacty same scenario: The secretary has send on behalf rights to the VP's exchange account and editor permissions to the VP calendar. When the SEC sends an calendar invite while connected / using to the VP's calendar, the SEC books a meeting room and adds all users and the meeting room calendar as the resource. All users will see that the meeting has been sent to them with Sent on behalf of the VP as the organizer. Now when everyone accepts, the resource calendar item is identifed as sent on behalf of the VP account.. Does anyone have any insight into this particular issue? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you,

Hello, Generally, the send on behalf of is a mailbox permission and it will not be affected by different Outlook version. What’s the Exchange version do you use. If you are using Exchange 2010, try sending the meeting request in OWA on behalf of the manager and check the result. In addition, can we reproduce the issue on other Outlook 2007 users? Thanks, Simon
