Send on behalf for specified mailbox issue?
There were exchange 2003 running in our environment. User use outlook 2003 to check their email. I have configure userA account have "full mailbox access" right and "Send on behalf" right on userB mailbox. After that, userA could open userB mailbox from the outlook profile. However, when userA try send outbound mail on behalf of userB, that mail go to userA mailbox sent item folder rather than userB mailbox sent item folder. That is abnormal behavior, isn't it? There were no any outlook rule configured on userA mailbox. So, i would like to know if there were any way could fix this problem. Thanks for any suggestion.

That is normal behavior of outlook. You must have an hotfix applied to have the mails appear in UserB mailbox sent items. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953803 If you have any issues later you could use the below hotfix as suggested by Evan in my forum thread last time http://support.microsoft.com/kb/959628 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/edd5e196-c3b0-4558-a848-79d823eb9baa/

I have check the file version listed on KB959628 and the current outlook 2003 file version is newer than that. The registry key required on KB 953804 has been added to the server running outlook 2003. Furthermore, the outlook 2003 is running on the windows terminal server (application mode). Every user logon to that server and run the outlook to check their mail. I have test with my user account and it worked fine that every mail i send on behalf of UserB would go to UserB "Sent Items" folder of its mailbox. However, other user still encounter same issue (mail send on behalf of UserB would go to their own mailbox "Send Items" folder). So, i would like to know if there were any other way could fix this issue. Thanks for any further suggestion. B. rgds, Jordan

That registry key is added under section "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" in the registry. So i suspect the hotfix must be run against each user who logs in. Just my thoughts. Not sure though. Also, make sure The delegate has Reviewer permissions for the Mailbox of the manager. The delegate has Author permissions for the Sent Items folder of the manager. The manager's mailbox is added as an additional mailbox in the delegate's Outlook profile. Check this registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\DelegateSentItemsStyle" when logged in as other user for whom its not working.

Hi Jordan, Agree with Rajitha, I also think you should set the registry for every user who wants to fix the issue.
