Send mail from excel and change from address deletes message body

I created a excel document. The i want to send it by E-Mail. At the Outlook window i choose a group mailbox. Added some text to introduce the attachment. The receiver doesn't see that text.

When sending from my own account it works fine.

What is wrong?

Hi,

If you don't start the email from the Excel file, but from Outlook, does the issue persist?

You can try to disable suspicious add-ins in Outlook to check if this makes a different. I've seen a corrupted profile may cause the issue as well, we can create a new profile to test if the problem still exists.

Hi Jethro,

Ask the user to forward the email back to you without modification or use Ctrl+Alt+F to attach the email into a new mail in Outlook.

If the user has access to Web Client like OWA, please ask the user to check using that as well.

Hi all,

when forwarding this e-mail with Ctrl+Alt+F it stays empty. New profile doesn't help.

The idea of sending it from Excel it's a faster way of working. When sending from outlook with the excel file as attachment its working.

THanks for helping.

Hi Jethro,

Please try sending a email from Excel to yourself and see if it works. Also try changing the email format to Rich or Plain Text and test. (Other than HTML)

Click File, Account Settings, Account Settings, and click Data Files.  If the PST file is set as the default change it to the email account.  It would be the same default account you see on the E-mail tab in the Account Settings.

Once you make this change see if the problem still occurs.  You might be coming across a Office 2013 bug.

Check if this article helps: Email Body Text Missing When Sharing From excel 2013

Also would you mind listing out the steps used to do so, along with the Excel version you are using.

Hello,

I tried to change it to Plain Text, and that is working fine. Could it be a bug? Im not able to find anything relevant.

I'v changed the default mailbox and it works. The thing is that i still think its a 'workaround' and not a solution.

I also read that it is a familiar issue at microsoft, but still no solution.

Is there a engineer who can tell me when it is solved?

Thank you.
