Send as permission for Distro Group in Exchange 07
Ok so I can find a ton of information on assigning the "send as" permission for a user account. The only information I can find for setting this on a distribution group doesn't work.I want 2 user accounts to be able to Send As the Distro group. The commands I cound for EMS are:Add-ADPermission testmbx -ExtendedRights Send-As -user username This command alone simply returns an email as undeliverable because of permissions when tested.Add-MailboxPermission testmbx -AccessRights FullAccess -user username This command returns an error in EMS that says the "Object" could not be found on the domain. In this case the "object" is a distribution list. I know that the FullAccess command works for adding permissions TO a user account, but is there any way to add similar permissions TO a distribution list?Or some OTHER way to allow users to send email AS the distro list? The really odd thing is, it works on my account that has domain admin rights, and I didn't add my account to any permission list in EMS. I'm testing with an account that is only a member of Domain Users.Any help is greatly appriciated.Mike

Disregard this post I guess.4 hours later it started working. Odd because so many EMS commands take effect immideately. For any people searching for this answer. The first command was all that was needed.

I am still unable to use the "Send As" feature for a domain member to send as a distribution group (Exchange 2007, SP1). I have followed the wizard and manually added the Send As permissions for the domain user to the Distribution Group. As a Domain Admin, I'm able to do this with no problem. Is it possible that there is another permission that must be set? (Perhaps Send To or other permissions?) Thanks very much.
