Send As permissions takes a long time to take affect in Exchange 2007
Hi,
Is it correct that the 2007 mailbox server role caches AD permissions and refreshes every 2 hours? We have an environment in which Send As permissions need to take affect almost immediately.
Thanks,
Rudi

Hi Rudi,
Yes,
The Send As permission is not granted until after replication has occurred. Replication times depend on your Microsoft Exchange and network configuration. To grant the permission immediately, stop and then restart the Microsoft
Exchange Information Store service.
You can know more clear from these:

If you want to use this function for temporary purpose, then you can create a Domain Admin account, will have immediate effect on send as permission
and can share the domain admin account to user temporarily, who needs to send mail as SEND AS.
Advantage: No need to restart the server or restart IS (no need to wait for >120 min)
Disadvantage: you need to change the Domain Admin account password, every time you share with user. ( you can manage this by simply disabling the account will do the job )
Hope this helps.
