It does not appear to be exchange related issue ,, Check whether the replication is updated properly. check for AD related events, 208x etc. You update the permissions on the exchange server that goes to the AD , which is then replicated to other servers. this is what is taking the time. check for any errors /warnings for exchange AD topology.

1. Is this other user a member of any built-in elevated security groups? or had security inheritance disabled on their account? 2. That sounds normal. You can decrease the cache time per: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb684892(EXCHG.80).aspx

Hi, >>1. When i create a Mail enabled Contact on Exchange Server 2010 SP1 (R3 installed) an give it the Send-As Permission for another user it is not working. I’m getting scared about this. Can someone help me? When sending a message, Exchange requires that an e-mail address is resolved in the From field. You cannot send e-mail messages on behalf the mailbox if the mailbox is hidden from address lists. >>2. When i give a User Full Access Permission on a Mailbox it take more than a hour to take effect... As we get our exchange environment 6 Month ago all work fine and quick. But now we have this problems. What is version of Outlook? In Exchange 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 clients automatically map to any mailbox to which a user has Full Access permissions. If a user is granted Full Access permissions to another user's mailbox or to a shared mailbox, Autodiscover automatically loads all mailboxes to which the user has full access. For Outlook 2003, to grant the permission immediately, stop and then restart the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service. Thank you all for your help. The Problem Nr.1 lays on a defective Outlook Profile. With a new Profile i can send with my generated Mail-Enabled Contact. This makes me really angry :-( Problem Nr. 2 is not solved at the moment. We dont want to give users directly "Full Access rights" because of the automatic mapping of the mailbox. We took the objekts in Groups and give this Groups the Full Access right. Replication on AD working fine. I dont think that there is a Problem in the Time limit, because a couple of month before all worked smooth :-).

1. Problem 1 is typically due to bad address book cache. 2. From my understanding you have a group and you grant this group full access to some mailboxes. You then add user1 to this group but takes 1 hr to take affect? This is because the information store caches group membership. You either need to restart the IS service to flush the cache or decrease the caching interval mentioned by previous posters. Hi, thx for your answer. The Problem is, that when i restart the Information Store, all Clients will geht a message that a password is required. The users call then us and telling that outlook is not working. We have a DAG Cluster with KEMP Loadbalancer. Is there a way to dont get this messages on their outlook clients? Or will we have to live with that? 2. Same Problem when i create a Distribution List, after syncing the offline adressbook i cant get this DL in Outlook as Recipient Adress. I restart the IS Service of Exchange and delete the automatic cache and reload the offline adressbook, but the DL is not seen in my adress book an i cannot get it with "strg + K" . Only a new outlook Profile will help... im getting nuts about that. Who can help me? i cannot always delete the outlook profile. Is this a bug? Thanks.

Hi, I think you may need to configure how the Offline Address Book is downloaded when you use Outlook in Cached Exchange Mode Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. every body who has Full Access right on Group mailbox just can "Send" mail ,but cannot "Reply" or " Forward" and receive this error message by outlook 2000 : "You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user". Best Anti Wrinkle Cream 2011
