I wanted to know if by default exchange has a feature to stop "Self Spamming" emails i.e. emails with same sender and recipient address.

I assume you are actually running SP3, not SP1, SP1 is unsupported.
Ensure you have proper SPF records, and that Exchange is enforcing failures.
If that's not enough, see here.
1. Exchange 2010 SP1 (and so SP2) isn't supported anymore so consider upgrading it to latest SP3 & UR.
2. You can can create a Transport Rule to match the Sender and Recipient's email address or UPN with below predictor ---- if the sender and recipient's AD Attribute are Evaluation

In addition, we can add user's own email address to reject list.
