Security Planning for Exchange Setup
Hi, We have 2 Datacentre in different cities. City A has 9 Exchange 2010 and 9 Lync Servers, City B has 9 Exchange 2010 servers. Exchange servers are in cross-site DAG mode. Users who are close to CityA are connected to City A exchange servers, while users who are closed to City B are connected to City B exchange servers. If cityB is down, so city B users can connect City A as their secondary MX is of City A. We have AD as well on both sites. It is a single forest multi domain. Now i want to secure this setup with firewall or any IPS. I need guidance to plan out the security model for this setup. What should i install which secure my setup on both sites. Hasan

Go for SonicWall NSA 2400 Setup Dedicated WAN between Two Sites . If same ISP thats good . Then SetupSonicwall on both the Sites with NAT your Internal to public ip . That you would know already.

I am planning to secure it the way it not only handles spam/intrusion but work as MTA and hardware load balancer as well 2. We have requirement of Hardware load balancer already for site-resiliency so we can cater it under this solution. We need hardware load balancer because if one site goes down, then users of that site automatically switch to secondary MX dat is on another location. 3. So we need to have multi-functional firewall, which not only work as MTA but as a spam blocker and intrusion prevention Hasan
