Searching the Exchange server/store for an email.
I am trying to find out if it is possible to search the server side for an email? In the case where you believe an email was sent out, but don't know who did, and the email was deleted from sent items (again the person is unknown, so doing a "restore deleted items" wouldn't help) - is there a way to search the server side since these are all server side folders that are involved? Thanks, Max

You can use the message tracking function if you know the messages subject. Message tracking must of course be enabled on your servers

The one option would be to check the Message Tracking and below article you can help you to achieve same FOR EXCHANGE 2003 http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2003-Message-Tracking-Logging.html FOR EXCHANGE 2007 http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2007-Message-Tracking-Part1.html If you have enabled the Logging on SMTP Default VS that would also help you to find the messageVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
