Searching in Outlook 2013 with cached mode set to 6 months - Possible to extend search to include server side index?

One of my users is complaining that if setting the offline cache setting to "mail to keep offline" to some limited time, like 12 months the search results are also limited to those 12 months.  Is it possible to have Outlook search locally at first, and then when the user selects "More" in the initial search results, the search uses the server side index?

If not possible now, this would be a nice feature to have wouldn't it?  Kind of "Mixed mode indexing".

Regards

That's how it should work but you need to click the link to find more on the server.

I've only ever seen "Find more on server" pop up once or twice out of probably hundreds of searches I have done in Outlook 2013. Many times I find I have to go log into Office 365 and redo the search to find anything older than my local cache. Do you know why this would be the case?
