Scripting Exchange 2007 ... Some help please
Hi,A while ago I made a thread asking about the possible modification of outgoing emails with a specific attachment, we came to the conclusion that some form of custom script would be needed to allow the emails to moderated, basically what I am after is the ability for ANY outgoing email from 5 of our users that contains a PDF attachment is sent to a 'middleman' who can check the PDF and then 'authorise' by dropping the email into an approved folder, a script then needs to pick this up and send the email on its way, where this is a bit more complex is the email needs to keep its original sender, the authorising persons email cannot be the main sending address. So for example, Mr A sends an email to Mr B with a PDF on it, the email goes to exchange which then sends the email to Mr C who checks it, once checked the email carries on its journey to Mr B but when it arrives it will still show Mr A as the sender with very little trace of Mr C being involved. Now making the hub transport rule to grab the email and copy to a different mailbox is fine, also the 'checking' mailbox will be running Outlook as their client so what Im really after is some form of script to handle the sending on of an email once its been approved e.g dragging email to an approved folder. This is where Im stuck, although Im a programmer by trade, I have never dealt with exchange/outlook scripting before. Can anyone help me?Kindest RegardsMike
