Script to display linked external account on Exchange 2007
I have an Exchange 2007 environment that is acting as a resource domain for a seperate Windows2000 domain utilizing linked mailboxes. I'd like to run a report showing all the Exchange 2007 mailbox accounts and the corresponding linked Windows2000 external account. In particular I'm looking for accounts from the Windows2000 domain that might have been deleted but where the mailbox account and actual mailbox were never disconnected/deleted. We are running into space issues and I'd like to make sure as many mailboxes as possible are purged from the system. I found the "get-mailbox -RecipientTypeDetails LinkedMailbox" command through some internet searches to retrun a list of linked mailboxes. How can I modify this command to display the actual external account name for the linked mailbox?

Well with a little more digging I answered my own question! Looks like the "Get-mailbox -RecipientTypeDetails linkedmailbox | select-object displayname, linkedmasteraccount" command gives me exactly what I want. Linked accounts that have been deleted show up as just SIDs in the returning command, highlight which mailboxes and accounts can be deleted!
