I have found a few scripts in my searches. But have not found one that meets my needs. I am in no way a scripter which I think I need to work on but was wondering if I could get some help with this. We are not using a HW load balancer and at this time I am fine with using an A record. If you have any recommendations about our config please let me know as I am open to suggestions. Site info: A record for CAS Array is cas.domain.com currently pointing to 192.168.0.7 (which is the IP of the Exchange Server in Ste A) We run two subnets separated by a point to point Lan extension, this link is protected by redundant connections. Site A (192.168.0.x) hosts 1 EX2010 Server with all roles and the FSW (2 Dc’s both GC) Site B (192.168.150.x) hosts 1 EX2010 Server with all roles (1 DC which is also a GC) Goals for script: Basically I want to protect myself against server failure and power loss which we tend to have a lot of at Site A (Servers are UPS but I only keep them up for 30 minutes before a start failover procedure). I would like to run a ping monitor IP on each of my Exchange Active/Active configuration and fail Exchange over after monitor fails for more than x amount of times (Have DNS update for my created cas.domain.com A record to the server that is online. Nice to have: When other server comes back online have it take over as A record for cas.domain.com. Have DAG use mailbox specified as “Activation Preference” after it resynchronizes.
