Screen Fracturing/Tearing when working with Office Documents

Hi there,

I have a client who is having a lot of problems with her office documents tearing or fracturing on the screen when she is working in them. This behaviour has been seen in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Here is an example of what I mean;

Things I have tried;

- Ensured Windows was up to date and installed the latest video card drivers

- Completely removed the video card drivers, installed a new video card and installed the latest drivers for that

- Repaired Office, when that didn't work, I completely reinstalled Office

Basically at this point, I am not sure of what to do further without completely reinstalling the operating system (Windows 7 Pro).

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi

For your issue, we would suggest you close other programs to make sure you have enough memory to run the Office application.

(Start Office program after reboot might be better)

Try to start Windows in clean boot to check whether the issue is caused by some third party services.

Thanks for your reply.

I emailed the link through to the end user and a clean boot appears to have fixed this. I'll sit down with the client when we have the time to work out what caused the problems and post back the result.
