Saving emails from Exchange 2003 to a local hard drive using VB
Greetings, I am looking for an example VB script or an online reference that can help me in extracting Exchange 03 e-mail and saves the e-mail onto your local hard drive. We are running Exchange 2003 on Server 2003. Any help would be greatly appricated. Michael

There are two routes to this - the first uses ExMerge and saves the mail into a PST file, the second uses the Outlook Object Model (OOM) and saves it as MSG files (I think). The documentation for ExMerge will tell you how to tuse this tool, and the MSDN documentation for OOM will have samples that will let you save the messages to your hard drive.

For more information about exporting the mailbox to PST file via ExMerge, please refer to the following article: http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/ExMerge-Recover-Mailbox.html Thanks.
