Save sent messages in same folder they are replied from - doesn't work in Outlook 2013

I have this option checked but emails are still saved in Sent folder even when I reply to a message that is not saved in the Inbox. I am using Outlook 2013 with Windows 8.1.

Hi,

What type of email account are you using? If you are using an IMAP account, please make sure you have the following two options set correctly:

1. Check the "Save copies of sent messages in the Sent Items folder" check box under File > Options > Mail > Save messages section.

2. The "Do not save copies of sent items" option is not checked under File > Account Settings > Account Settings > The Change Account wizard of your IMAP account (Double click the IMAP account) > More Settings > Advanced tab > Under Sent Items heading.
