Same same but different.
Hello all, I´m using Windows 7 Enterprise, Outlook 2010, Echange 2003 SP2 and Exchange 2010 I have an issue with 2 resource accounts still on 2003( out of 28 total), they are conference rooms. I can create an profile for each room on my PC to administrate calendar security. The problem comes when I try to use those profiles, on 2 of them I cant access the box with Outlook without using the rooms own account to login to the box, on the other rooms I can use my own user credentials. I cant find any differences in security OR Mailbox rights, they are identical for those rooms that I can use directly and those that I have to logon to with the rooms own credentials ( logon dialog appears). The 2 rooms that require "logon" where created a few months before the rooms that work without specific logon. Any ideas why this is happening?

if you have rights on the mailbox, then there is a option on the profile, where you can turn off for prompting for password. go to the profile properties click on email tab and click change click on more settings go to security tab, uncheck always prompt for user and passwordThiyagu | MCTS/MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE 2003[Messaging] | http://www.myExchangeWorld.com. They are not checked, so it should not prompt for password. One other thing, not even my admin account, which is an domain admin, can be used to open these 2 boxes. Only the account of the room itself will allow login to the box.

Hi, sorry for the late response, I´ve been tied up in a domain move. Yes, OWA logon works ok. Anyway, I think I found the reason why we are seeing this, there´s another thread on this forum : "Full Mailbox Access denied for 2003/2010 mailboxes." This is probably the reason.
