STMP Setup for Digital Sender
I'm in charge of helping my uncle setup a HP 9250c Digital Sender. However, it needs an STMP Server in which to send and receive email. As to my knowledge he doesn't have a email server for his business setup. So, I'm wonder what the easiest way to set this up would be. I was thinking about purchasing Microsoft Exchange if that's seems like the easiest way to set this up.  Any insight / recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hi JPrino,

I don't think you need to buy an Exchange server just to send email using an application \device.

Try these options:

*Internet Information Server (IIS) for relay (Windows Server)

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn592151%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

*Send email using Office 365

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn554323(v=exchg.150).aspx

* Gmail SMTP relay(Free or GoogleApps)

Please note the options would slightly change, depending on HP 9250c Digital Sender capability to authenticate or not.

Using smtp.gmail.com with HP digital sender 9250c:

I'm going to try the gmail option now and see how it goes.  The first option you provided I think does require the use of an exchange server.  Thanks for the help!
