SP1 Rollup Package 9 damaged Exchange 2007 installation
Please help. A while back (I have been trying with no avail to fix this for months now), a small Exchange box we have at our home office/small office stopped working properly. At one point, before this time, I tried to install SP 2 of Exchange 2007 but it told me it couldn't do it. Then it tried to install Rollup package 9 and that's when it all went haywire. The machine is doing all exchange tasks, including receiving external mail (I know, I know, but it is a small setup for only 5 users...And we need to use exchange because we develop apps that connect to it). After the installation of Rollup package 9 failed, the SMTP servers stopped listening. We tried uninstalling rollup package 9, then 8, and re-installing them. Users can connect to the server with Outlook, but OWA is gone. The machine does not receive or send SMTP mail. Administration tools do not connect to the server. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi, How is the issue now? First please verify if all the Microsoft Exchange related services have been started. Since SP3 for Exchange 2007 has been released, I recommend you to install SP3 directly. Before you try to install SP3, please try to run ExBPA to have a health scan of the Exchange Server. Regards, Xiu

Sorry for the late response, but somehow the alerts about responses were going to my junkmail folder. Yes, the services come up, but it still experiences the same behavior. I am running EXBPA right now and I will try to install SP3 after that and will post the outcome. Again, thanks for the help, but there is still some work to be done to get my exchange site back up.
