SMTP Diag error 10061
We have got a Active Directory domain with a sinle exchange server.Whne we try to send an email to a client it remains in the smtp queque with the clients domain name.Ive ranSMTP diadand the outtput is the fopllowing:Searching for Exchange external DNS settings. You will have to ask owner of transurban.com.inbound30.symantecmail.net to whitelist your sending ip or your domain. also you can find MX record of their domain and do telnet from your server and try to submit message if still that donot goes this means they are not accepting your ip. http://www.msexchange.org/articles/MS_Exchange_SMTP_POP3_and_Telnet.html also it would not be a bad idea to check if your domain/ip is blacklisted somewhere. many people donot accept mail if they find senders ip is blacklisted. http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Thnaks Vinod,We cant telnet the ip which maches their mx record.Do you think they are blocking our smtps IP?
