SMTP Connector query
hi everyone,i have one query,i hope you guys will help me in thiswe have more than 20 domains map on our exchange server in recipient policy.we have created one domain in DC3 Backend and 3 Front end installed in Delhi and 1 Backend in london and we creates the Internet SMTP connector for outside mail and the server mention in is the our 3 front end server, currently all mail which are related to external domain goes to this connector, means user existsin london server send mail to delhi server for internet mails.now what i want is that i need to set up one or two front end in london for all internet mails, is this possible in exchange 2003, i dont want that london user comes in delhi for sending outside mail delieveryregards,jeevan

install Front-end in the london site and create an SMTP connecter in london, and mentioned the london FE as the bridgehead. Also make sure that the SMTP connector you have in delhi does not have the london FE in there. With this, all delhi users will use the delhi FEs to send mails and the london users will use their FE.

hi,we have already create the smtp connector for internet mailing in delhi server, if we create another one with * value in address space ,then how delhi user goes to delhi SMTP connector and how london user goes to another SMTP connector, this is only thing which i am not clear.regardsjeevan

In london site go to properties of SMTP Connector Under address space select Connector Scope as Routing Group. So that that particular smtp connector wil accept mails for london site Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|
