SMTP: Advanced Queue Failed to Deliver Message
I have a 2003 exchange server running on Windows Server 2003. One exterior email address recently started having problems getting through: The exterior email is received by the exchange server, the email is then sent to the advanced queue, and then the advanced queue fails to deliver it to any mailbox.Supposedly somebody found an answer to this but it's in Spanish, and Babelfish doesn't translate tech speak very well.

Hello, here is what happens at the Advance queue queueExplaining the Mysterious SMTP Advanced Queuing Engine http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2005/04/04/403297.aspxThe Advanced Queuing Enginehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124832(EXCHG.65).aspxSo, my answer to this would be... check all the third-party software like AV, mail archiever, emaildisclamier etc which has sink at the categorizer level and hook it sinks with exchange. So, run ExBPA and fix all the findings.Check if you have any AV - ensure you're running at the latest built and configured all the documentation regarding how to configure the AV with exchange (VAPI and NON-VAPI) antiviruses. If you're running filelevel AV on the exchange server - then set the correct exclussion for exchange folders.Anti-Virus folder exclusions have not been configuredhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997602.aspxSet diagnostic level to 7 for MSExchangeTransport service and monitor the application log for the same. You can disable all the third-party sinks for exchange server using a tool called "TransWiz" *** can be use this tool to enable and disable all the sinks with exchange.CDO Event Registration Tool 2.01http://www.turbogeeks.com/utilities/default.aspRemember - Always take full back of your exchange server including system state of your exchange server, AD [FSMO] holder, and registry back if you're making some change which you're not aware of it, always make note of your changes before you commit it.Arun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3
