Hey everyone, I know this has already been discussed...but a clear answer wasn't provided and it's really the only search result that is returned for this error. I've fot 4 fully trusted forests. Each has Virtual Servers in them and I like to use SCVMM to monitor them all. If I try to add a Host Server that is in a different domain / forest...the Job errors out at 75% stating that it can't find the path to a .VHD that is real...but isn't associated with the Host that I'm trying to add anyway. Inside the Detailed Error...the network path is real on another Host Server...but not the host I'm trying to add to the SCVMM (which resides on my workstation Vista SP1). It doesn't matter which domain I try to add hosts from, unless it is a host server in the same domain as my workstation, it will error looking for a VHD that isn't on the host that I'm trying to add. What can I do to fix this? Recommended Action Ensure that the share name provided maps to a valid local path, and then try the operation again. Warning (457) The server cltps035.mydomain.int could not be disassociated from this Virtual Machine Manager server.
