They're in different forests so they aren't naturally connected in any way. You could implement a form of SMTP address space sharing (google for "smtp address space sharing") and you'll hit upon the MS article for exactly that. That would make your two servers communicate constantly and swap email. All mal would come into one box. All mail would get a lookup on that server and anything local would be delivered. Anything that didn't match an address (including spam) would be sent to the other box where it would either be delivered or NDRd or dropped (whatever, not important). Email to the Internet would be sent from either server directly out. Email from the subordinate box to the "master" (in the loosest possible sense) would be sent over the tunnel.
