SBS 2003 database space free
SBS 2003 Exchange sp2 Another organization received an NDR trying to send to my account and receives a bounce back with the following diagnostic : maildrop: maildir over quota. My mailbox is well under the limit set on our server.%2social.technet.microsoft.comcked the registry and the proper setting is made to up the limit to 75GB. I've checked the 1221 events in the log and they show 12MB free. At first I thought there is my problem...running out of space. But upon further reading, I guess that just shows the white space in the db. So, is there anyway to confirm that the 75GB limit is in place?

You have the wrong end of the stick. You've been researching space in the store or the size the store can grow to. The message suggests that the mailbox is over the quota. How big is the mailbox within the store and what are the settings of the store? Go into Exchange System Manager and see. "kmclaurin" wrote in message news:136c6f6c-6a6a-40c4-84ed-3662e1ab90fa... This: "maildrop: maildir over quota" doesn't sound very Exchange-y............ You sure it's a message that was sent to your mailbox on your Exchange server? So, the problematic user used 10MB mailbox size, and the only configured size limit is 250 MB for all mailboxes, right? Does the issue happen permanently to this problematic recipient? Does the issue happen permanently when attempting to send the messages from reported external domain to all your mailbox users? Does the same issue happen with other external domains?
