SBS 2003 - Configure Exchange w/comcast webmail?
We have a Windows SBS 2003 server w/Exchange. For the past 4 years we have been using exchange ONLY for calendar & contacts and email has been on FuseMail.net. We don't have the resources/manpower to maintain an exchange server. However, it would be nice to utilize just one application (outlook) to view the calendar/contacts/email. Is there a way that I can configure the exchange server to pull in via IMAP the data from fusemail directly into the users exchange folder? I know how to configure outlook to pull in email via IMAP, but then the data file is a new folder and is local on the users computer. All workstations are running WinXP Pro xp3. Thanks! Much appreciated! Lily

IMAP, no. however SBS 2003 has a POP connector which can be configured from the Connect to the Internet Wizard. It downloads all user’s email on their behalf and places it into their mailbox. If you want to use IMAP, you’d have to do that from each Outlook client, but due to the nature of IMAP’s synchronization of folders, it will have it’s own folder tree unless you use Outlook rules to move data.
