SBS2008 to Office365 mail migration fails with no error

Hi all, thanks for reading...

I'm trying to migrate a small number of mailboxes from SBS2008 with exchange 2007 to office 365.
Outlook Anywhere works fine, using a valid SSL cert.  The testexchangeconnectivity tool works too.

The email domain is verified in the office 365 tenant account ok as well but no other DNS has been setup yet (until the cutover date)

But whenever I try to create a new migration task in the exchange online console it fails within around 60 seconds.  I've tried various different things with creating and validating the migration endpoint first but no success, it always fails with about a minute.  I've profiled an outlook client (for the admin account in use) and connected ok with no issues.

The admin account has a valid email address, has full domain admin permissions as well as full-access permissions to the mailboxes and database. (extra permissions added to test)

When kicked off, the migration status shows it has correctly identified there are 15 mailboxes to sync but then it fails after that with no error!  View details shows nothing...

Hoping someone can assist or point me in the right direction.  Anyone come across this?  I've been trawling the interwebs with no joy.  Do I troubleshoot this via powershell in order to see the actual error its falling over at??

I suggest you to look at the Exchange Server Deployment Assistant a web based application for high level steps to ensure that you do doing all of the steps in the correct order and nothing is missed: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn756393.aspx

Moreover, while need to migrate users mailboxes to cloud, you may take help from this programmed application i.e. http://www.exchangemailboxmigration.com/ that allows to migrate user mailboxes from exchange 2007 to office 365 without any interruption.

Hope it helps you!
